Your post brought back the mouthwatering smell of onions caramelizing as her magical brisket (she called it pot roast) took its time in the oven. (Do you use the brust deckle cut, btw?) Our Litvak kugels were always loaded with apples, raisins and tons of cinnamon. The better to make it sweet for everyone . Gut yontif!
