We all grew up together. I couldn't wait to live in Africa and the Middle East and SEE and it took me many years to understand that some of what gave me the freedom to do that was the security we knew as kids. Now in my own family I live in a very multiracial international world, very different from how we were all raised. But I can see the advantages of living other ways too. When I was younger, I could only see what I believed.
