Has me thinking of 600 W. 111th St., our Thanksgiving destination during my youth. Up early on Long Island watching March of the Wooden Soldiers and just the start of the Macy's Parade on channel 11?
Up and at 'em, dressed in our best my siblings and I filled the back seat.
We headed 'over the river & through the woods š¼š¶šµ' - 1960's style - via parkways edged with trees, to our Grandparents' 16th floor nest, with its grand wrap around outdoor terrace overlooking the Hudson.
