Most people look good enough in their bathing suits. There are a few notable exceptions. Many women over 50 or 60 buy their suits from catalogues. Navy and black and occasionally, red. Older men like baggy suits. Blue is the favorite male color. Sometimes striped. Sometimes green.
In Israel, "older men" do not wear baggy bathing suits. Although I live a few blocks from the sea I prefer the pool, and my favorite moment is after swimming 20 laps and doing the recommended in-the-water orthopedic exercises, 5 or 10 minutes of quiet meditation in the sauna.
I wear a James Bond style of tight fitting short, black, bathing suit.
