Such clarity. It would have been amazing to visit Plum Village, the retreat in France where Thich Nhat Hahn lived for many years, since fleeing his native Vietnam. I have long considered Thich Nhat Hahn to be one of my two most influential teachers…. The other, Ram Dass. Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem, Esther.

Yes, also my favorite- can we really imagine that we are ALL these aspects: the Darkest brute as well as the lightest angel. We need our communities to help keep us on the side of Love. And it’s all chance?!! You Esther, help us keep the thumb on the scale.

Not an easy poem to digest, though I appreciate it. I was privileged to hear Thich Nhat Hahn speak in Tel Aviv, and to participate in a workshop with him on Kibbutz Harel in 1997.
