I went upstate once with several others for a weekend. Our friend had a sprawling farmhouse there. One of the guests brought an enormous bag of pistachios from Kalustyan's. I thought it was a great present--so decadent and generous and delicious!
A great list. I like the twist of the older detectives getting married and forgetting about the murder. Reminds of how all the readers complained when Arthur Conan Doyle killed of Sherlock, and had to bring him back to life. As for me, managing to deal with everything connected to my partners' advancing dementia, while not ignoring my own needs, like my knees, and finishing/publishing my book. And oh yes, figuring out how to confront our new government.
