What a wonderful and moving family event. At Palestine-Israel Journal we had an Armenian intern, Apo Sahagian, who was born in the Armenian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. He is fluent in Armenian, Hebrew, Arabic and English, and also has a band, Apo and the Apostles, which plays traditional Armenian and contemporary original rock music, primarily in Arabic. He is also an activist in support of Armenian rights. Maybe you can play some of their music at the reunion.

What an interesting, possibly stressful day you are having, but what a wonderful tradition to uphold!

Can't wait to hear about it...

Splendid event! Lots of work, lots of joy! Dread, joy, relief. Repeat (in a year)

Great post thank you. Cathe and I were at a large zoom meeting with frightened Palestinians in Israel, in October. We too-rarely hear news about people who just want to celebrate the now.
