What a wonderful, gentle gift to share on Pete’s 103rd birthday.
I have always loved Pete Seeger, and saw him perform many times, from his relative “youth” in the mid-1960’s until perhaps 14-15 years ago, when Pete was nearly 90.
Did you know that over his last 25-30 years, Pete visited Northeast Ohio every April, on Earth Day, in his quest to Save The Cuyahoga River. And, as he did all of his life, he “inspired a movement”. With much gratitude for Pete’s efforts, I can report that fish have returned to the entire length of the again-beautiful Cuyahoga, along with paddlers in our kayaks and canoes. Pete Seeger was an amazing soul. ❤️
