Sadly, I don’t think that Fox News and probably their followers were impressed. I accidentally tune into the Fox News channel right after the hearings and they were saying that the hearings were a gaslighting and that it was all ridiculous and white about the “riots“ that happened in the summer of 2020 in relation to Black Lives Matter. I think they are a hopeless case. Maybe some viewers of their persuasion might have changed their minds after the footage that we saw but I am not optimistic.
This is a very topsy turvy, dark time but I feel hope for the long game because truth and justice, democracy and equality DO have value to many Americans. Getting there will be circuitous and long. Cheney and Thompson did a great job. Civil servants exist. That was great to witness.

Well I think it's incredibly important not to give up hope. I was very impressed with Cheney. But you're right. It's a painful difficult time.
