esther, am i correct in thinking the chat can only be accessed via phone app? i don't use my phone for anything except calling and texting. no way to join chat on desktop computer or ipad? thanks!

that sounds perfect. i have the room and the thrift shop chairs (!). my guess is that substack will figure out a computer way to chat. just like this
