Dear Everyone, Substack’s language and mine are wildly different. Below is their Expert Advice. They’ve sent this to me a few times. Now I’ll send to you. I am not crazy about bullet points to begin with, unless they are unexpected: Don’t eat bananas today.
Esther. I much prefer the way I came to be a subscriber to Overheard. I came to know you and your daily poems and then wanted to be a supporter of your fine work. At first I had a free subscription and then felt that you and your work deserved some financial support, which was why I became a paid subscriber. It was something that felt natural and organic. No one offered me rewards if my friends subscribed and I would have been offended if they had. Your observations on life surrounding you are fresh and I love it when I can see things from your point of view. I don’t like the bullet points. I like the way you see things. Keep it up.
