BEWARE! When I was in Tucson (last century) my resolve for BLACK as the most divine clothing color, got hijacked. And I wonkily-bought BEIGE shorts. OMG! WTF?! Warning! Do not let the dry, cute (?) desert of BEIGE hack your sense of our NYC sense for the most meaningful colors for apparel!
Highly recommend the sunrise horseback trail ride from Tanque Verde Ranch. Sign up for the Cowboy Breakfast and have the best blueberry pancakes you ever ate, made fresh atop one of the Catalina Mountains, eaten alfresco midway through the ride. I'd never ridden horseback before in my life but my initial trepidation very quickly gave way to elation. Unforgettable!
I was ordained in Tucson at the now defunct "First Congregational Church" 50 years ago. It is 824 N Second Avenue and is now a thriving Hispanic congregation. We lived across the street from Linda Rondstadt. You are staying at the very best place.
