How wonderful to celebrate the life of Claudette Colvin! She was only fifteen years old when she took a brave stand on a city bus in Montgomery. Claudette is one of fifty amazing people profiled in Rob Shetterly's book, Portraits of Racial Justice: Americans Who Tell the Truth, and I love his painting of her. https://americanswhotellthetruth.org/portraits/claudette-colvin-2/

I met Claudette Colvin at a White Plains Synagogue some years ago and bought a book that told her story. I lent the book to someone . . . I hope it's still being shared.
