Well, here's a relevant excerpt about the Stones from my still as yet unpublished activist memoir:, in the final stage of editing.

One particular moment that stands out is the fact that The Rolling Stones were scheduled to come to Shea Stadium in Queens on their Steel Wheels Tour in October, 1989, and I said to myself I can't miss this opportunity to see them. After all, Mordechai Bar-On and his committee had prevented The Beatles from coming to Israel back in 1965, though I did eventually get to see both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr perform (separately of course) when they came to the country. The problem was that Etty said I had promised her that we would go to visit Boston that weekend. "But Boston will always be there, and The Rolling Stones won't!" I exclaimed. I lost that battle. However, it turns out that The Rolling Stones will apparently always be there as well, and I finally managed to see them perform when they came to the Yarkon Park on the outskirts of Tel Aviv in 2014. Well, it seems that you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you might just find, you get what you need.
