Always a question: where do
stories begin? Though experts
say otherwise, Anywhere is
the answer. Here’s an example:
Sixty eight people in my neighborhood
talked about their plantar fasciitis
this morning in my neighborhood
chat site. Sixty eight in 15 blocks.
My friend Judith thought she had
plantar fasciitis but she finally went to
a good podiatrist Louis Galli
48th and 7th he gave her
an anatomy lesson said it was
the Cupoid Bone a bone I’d never
heard of before. A story can begin
right there.
Injury poetry!
I broke my upper left arm humerus on Sunday.
Here is a poem Lift/pasted from the divine Medicalese from my Harlem Hosp ER Report:
Impression: DX Humerus Left
Discontinuity of the cortex
Of the greater tuberosity noted
On the frontal view
May represent fracture
Of the surgical neck
No dislocation noted
Joint spaces maintained
No joint effusion
Soft tissues unremarkable
On a separate note:
Melancholy - a bitch... shadow?
