What Love Looks Like (3) A Movie Theater
We try to see Academy Award foreign films. Not for Any Reason. (People always want GOOD REASONS like I am Writing a Book or a Podcast or Something. The reason is We Like Movies.) Our favorite theater because we’ve been going there for years it’s in walking distance always something to see foreign films theater reminds me of libraries yesterday we went to Leviathan the Russian film that will probably win. (Timbuktu today). One reason I love the theater (apart from all those movies) is how well the workers are treated they’ve been there for years owner’s daughter painted their lives large portraits decorate the halls manager he’s been there forever Ethiopian all his family were judges in Ethiopia his sister a judge on the upper east side he works in the theater loves movies and customers his children are doing very well in school maybe he told me one day maybe they’ll be judges or directors or maybe they’ll do something I can’t ever imagine, Something I haven’t yet seen at the movies.
Postscript:
