What Freedom Might Be Day 5

Day Five of ON BEING. I've been thinking a lot about freedom and what the words mean, in the small sense and in the large. How we live in a society that values personal freedom above all (some friends have said recently that they want to do what they want to do. And when. they don't want to compromise)and how so much of the crazy legislation has to do more with self interest than larger good.
Passover is about Liberation, and about Exodus. As a child we had traditional Seders. We even used the free Haggadahs, given by Manischewitz wine, an undrinkable sweet kosher wine that all of us Jewish families in the small town where I lived, every Jewish family drank it on Passover. Quality was not a criteria. There were other reasons then.
What I've always liked about this holiday, the holiday of Passover, is the chance for us all to ask the questions.
