Thousands of people
probably millions try
describing beauty
in paintings in photos
long essays by writers
who know what they are doing
and saying who know
enough adjectives and adverbs
to describe absolutely anything
and yet here I am
37th year on a porch
so astounding I don’t know
one single word or two
that would do justice
to this light yellow room
this green
trees all around
and the sound of birds
yoga class right here
this morning and ahava
playing supermarket with
her friend laia they checked out
many cartons of ice cream
all chocolate
and me in the corner
on a lounge that has no springs left
covered with blankets
a la Freud
and me in the corner
trying over and over
to write it all down.
gorgeous, esther
totally captures the day
the serenity [not without a slight anxiety about writing the next one]
the porch
the colors
the generation[s] after/next
thank you,

I feel a mood conveyed. But also I have read more evocative poems of yours.
