war and uncertainty,
every possible problem,
when friends need

ablations
dental procedures
even now a child
born today to Donna and Warren’s
daughter and partner

and the Macy’s parade
still below our window
led by the beautiful
Alabama A&M Marching Band
and the sun shines
and then later,
many of us will
eat a good pie.

Still have vivid memories of watching the parade balloons being blown up from your window. And as a kid even of Hopalong Cassidy and his trusty horse whatever it's name was, leading the parade, looking from my aunt Rose's 4th floor window in the Mayflower Hotel. Who else had an aunt who lived in a hotel?
