Trans stewardess named Pat
too young to know about
Saturday Night Live’s Pat
although she said she chose her own name
high pumps long black hair
mesmerizing watching Pat
walk up and down the aisle
slowly, sexually, weaving
among us with water, V-8,
cans of Diet Coke. She
seemed like a good sign.
Baldeep our cab driver, a Sikh
who grew up near the Indian Golden Temple
told us that at the temple they feed
150,000 people every single day
no whiskey no wine he said just good
vegetarian food rice cooked in milk
special bread delicious vegetables all for free
and if we wanted to try a free Sikh meal
they’re always free at the temple said Baldeep
they feed everyone from all over the world
we could go to his temple in Richmond Hill
from 7 am until 10 at night and join all the people
eating a delicious free meal. You can come
every week Baldeep said.
How lovely of Baldeep to share that. And what an amazing service of the temple to provide! WOW.
I agree, good signs. I attended the Parliament of the World Religions in Barcelona about 20 years ago, and large group of Sikhs served wonderful free meals to all who wished to partake for the entire week of the conference. Such generosity.
