I don’t write sad poems,
although today is Tisha B’av***
maybe the saddest day of the year
if you’re a Jewish believer.
I don’t write poems about
what happened yesterday in Israel
devastating for so many
or what happens every single day
and what happened before.
I follow the advice of Nahum Goodmann
dinner with him a thousand years ago.
Someone asked how he survived
all that happens. Always important
no matter what to listen to music,
he said.
***( Jewish people mourn the destruction
of the First and Second Temples
persecution suffered through two millennia of diaspora.
This tragic day in Jewish history motivates us to stand up for other minority
populations facing persecution around the world today
May I just say that "our" dictator Crime Minister actually ruined this week the Third Temple (=The State of Israel) with his own two hands and with the help of ignorant corrupted messianic violent misogynous extremist government.
This Tisha B'av we, the sane people here really mourn our and our children's future.
Yes, this is where all the pain leads us, to champion other who suffer.
