At a birthday party

I met a fascinating couple

born in Bacau, Roumania,

who may be my relatives.

They were entirely familiar.

Many years ago I was

with an Israeli friend named

Aryeh Mor who became

my publishing partner.

I said he reminded me

of my Roumanian grandmother.

Turns out his aunt

and my grandmother’s sister

were best friends.
