Last night I dreamt
about a college friend
named Susan Cohen.
We met when we were freshman.
She wanted to be Someone Else
and I suggested she just
reverse her name to Nasus Nehoc.
She actually went to a lawyer
and officially, she did.
Some of you know I collect Good Notes, Good Signs, and random pieces of handwriting. Thanks to Andrea Clardy, beautiful writer, who sent me this good index card
.
Also: my favorite summer theater program, HORTON BY THE STREAM, opening this weekend. And next weekend, Horton’s play OLD FRIENDS and Peter’s OLD FRIENDS movie. Both Saturday July 26. Join us if you can.
A few more things: thank you to people who messaged me yesterday asking if I’m OK because I was upset about this world. Yes I am OK.
Growing up as "Susan Rosenberg" > my "world name" was "Nasus Grebnesor." Nasus was the gal I imagined I was on the exact, opposite side of the earth. She's still there, right?
The ending was a surprise. Was the last "s" silent? I think that would be easier to pronounce.
