I read the Agatha Christie
New Yorker piece and all I have to do
is put nine people in one room
and Someone Dies. The nine people
could be Anyone and every single
person becomes a suspect
even the kindly older woman who bakes
chocolate chip cookies for neighbors in fact
she’s the most likely because she smiles
all the time doesn’t look like a murderer
she wears dark green cashmere sweaters
and the man who looks most murderish
big scar on his left cheek he didn’t do it at all.
As a chronic reader of “cozy” mysteries, I encourage you to jump into that pool!
Delightful! Thanks, Esther.
