Monday and I Am Going

to the Endocrinologist for my biannual visit

Clifton Jackness one of the best doctors

I’ve ever met maybe even one of the best people

(I am not counting old friends Connie and David here.

Wonderful too) he treats my Hashimoto’s

(what a name for an autoimmune disease all diseases

have peculiar names and maybe if we called them

something like Ice Cream Sundae we’d feel better)

I am going to Clifton Jackness to get blood tests

and as a reward I go into his own office

to discuss Anything at All

Clifton Jackness can talk and when I want to talk about

my blood test results occasional irregular numbers

a little high a little low he says
