Funny was the ideology
of my childhood. We all
liked to laugh, and often
listened to many comedians
and on occasion we would dissect
why a certain relative
(on my father’s side) wasn’t
funny at all. Jack Benny
was a family favorite.
PS: This weekend there’s a free tribute
on zoom for Jack Benny.
This Sunday, July 17th at 4 pm EST
THE GREAT JACK BENNY
We will explore the life of this comic genius featuring rare photos, and excerpts from his radio and TV shows. The program focuses on his violin playing as part of his comedy routines, which he utilized to raise money for concert halls, and orchestras in the U.S. and Israel.
And in that spirit, what a great way to support the Beethoven Festival Orchestra, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization! Contributions are tax-deductible and are payable to the Beethoven Festival Orchestra c/o Cesare Civetta 800 Riverside Dr. 2d NY NY 10032 or online at www.beethovenfestivalorchestra.org
