Article voiceover
Dinner with Harry and Leonie last night.
Harry’s moving to Nicaragua to live
with Leonie there and he is going through
papers from forty years ago. He found
two old novels I wrote (and typed)
Mango Tango, and Murder in Anguilla
and this poem:
One Major Selection This Evening Is By Claude Debussy
Beethoven doesn’t ever fit
one single LP album
and neither does your
miraculously well done
recording (of its type)
dramatic and effective
an earthly human performance
with no quality compromise
except for the inevitable
break between first and second
movements (more
next Friday after
the 9 ‘o’clock news.)
Love. Maybe live too.
I live the rhythm of this poem.
