I WILL NOT WRITE A POEM ABOUT

The fourteenth amendment and whether

or not it will apply to the man whose name

is not in my poems.

Or climate change or war

or whether Biden is too old

to be president.

I will not write a poem about

the AIRBNB next door

two people there a month

who don’t go outside.

But i will write a poem about

Mike a single father from Catskill

in his early thirties who came

to mow who did not call me a Lib

who arrived when he said he would

and actually mowed.
