Every Poem is a Puzzle
Every poem is a puzzle every puzzle
a poem Sarah Jane Lapp she makes puzzles
I met her because she sent me a postcard years ago
about a project she did on the Domino Sugar Factory
I loved her handwriting called her up
she said we could make a puzzle poem
maybe two maybe three
maybe even seventy two puzzles OK I said
though I am not good at puzzles
good enough at poems she actually did
make four puzzles because she is a puzzle maker I
took them in my bag yesterday to show them to
strangers in stores to see what they'd say about our
puzzle poems. One of those strangers, man named Scully
said he would rather talk about a play he was writing
about two people with different politics called ROOMMATES.
Why don't you make a puzzle of that he asked and I explained
that I don't really know how to make a puzzle. Maybe a poem.
