Even Though I'm Jewish

tonight is Christmas Eve

I bought a (yes vintage) red tablecloth

Christmas is red

we will light white candles

for solstice and Christmas

eat Chinese food a nod

to my tradition and although we won’t

go to the movies who knows these days

we’ll see a movie (maybe it should have been

Hand of God but we watched a few nights ago)

and then tomorrow morning

whether you believe in anything much

or not, tomorrow

is actually Christmas day
