I like this. I had a package to return to Amazon and was thinking of walking over to Whole Foods to return it after we had dinner. They had frequent warnings on WNYC radio to stay home if you could. I held on to the package and instead read for a while then wrote two pieces for class. One is longer than you like them to be but I think it is more interesting than the one that fits into your guidelines about time.
I misunderstood the warning.i was awaiting a big tomato. I was very disappointed when shop rite only delivered grape tomatoes. a bit of trivia, shop rite is the largest employer in n.j. my local shop rite was just sold to the corporation. up until then, it was privately owned by the Perlmutter family. a Perlmutter portrait was proudly hanging above the customer service area. they took him down. now the employees are not happy with the new management.my favorite cashier of 14 years is Mary F. on register 6. she looks like a waitress I once new in a donut shop. she wears a corsage,an overdose of cheap perfume& draws her eyebrows on with a red eyebrow pencil. I love Mary. she whispered, "I would retire but my husband is dead and the liberal democrats keep raising my taxes." on her last birthday, I got her a plastic tiara to wear. she said that management mad her take it off. but when she got home.she put it back on for the rest of the day.-her dog has cataracts and couldn't appreciate how pretty it looked.
