This week was my fifth
online visit (every four months)
with Dr. Kalyanu B.,
psychiatrist from India,
($10 co-pay with my insurance)
based in Albany with his wife,
psychiatrist too, Two children.
Guess their professions asked Dr. B.
(The right answer: Doctor, and Doctor).
Dr. B. prescribes my sleep medication.
I try not to take it but it’s good to have
the pills in case. Yesterday he told me
about the Indian railway system (largest
in the world). Then he asked what I thought
of Sigmund Freud. You’re the expert
I said. Oh no he said. Freud is open
to interpretation. What’s yours he asked.
I’m not a psychiatrist I replied.
Interpretation is up to everybody he said.
Even poets.
PS: Thank you to the readers who asked where to buy my new book

Everyone is going to want your doctor's contact info.
No one I know can sleep without pills or gummies.
