Yesterday I went to
Greenberg’s bakery
to buy a Challah. I love
Greenberg’s bakery.
A big pile of Challahs sat
on the open shelf.
I picked one up,
then took it to the cashier.
A well dressed young man
looked at the bread and said:
I want the Challah you chose.
Why do you want this one
I asked.
No good reason he replied
I gave him my Challah
and bought another one.
