My grandmother lived in California home of
Baskin Robbins and she loved ice cream
could walk a block to a Baskin Robbins store
which had 31 flavors one for every day
of the month. She tried them all and told us
the story when we went to visit her
about how two men from Glendale California
brothers in law Burton Baskin
and Irvine Robbins (my grandmother
played cards with their aunt) loved ice cream
so they created Baskin Robbins and when
I looked them up today I saw
they’re the world’s largest ice cream chain
eighty thousand locations and thought
that would make my grandmother smile
but not as much as her daily ice cream cone.
And Robbins's daughter lived in my college dorm. Our world is small, Esther :)
