Requirement: The Artists Statement
It MUST BE WRITTEN in the third person.
No first person EVER. If you write
in the first person, we won’t read it.
GUIDELINES:
100 to 300 words.
No More.
No Less.
DON’T TRY TO SOUND
LIKE SOMEONE ELSE.
AMANDA GORMAN IN PARTICULAR.
Esther Cohen writes a poem a day and posts them online.
She does not write in the first person.
She has written poems many days of her (long) life.
They have appeared in a wide range of locations:
from cash register receipts at Slater's supermarket in Cairo, New York
to exhibition walls at the Eldridge Street synagogue to the New York Times.
She's the author of some books and plans to write some more.
The facts, ma’am.
Great entry! GREAT!
