A View From The Bridge
Last night some of us went to A View From The Bridge, Arthur Miller's famous play,an American tragedy, very Greek, about sexuality, families, longshoreman, and language. The performance was beyond amazing.
Some words sound like poems though it was a surprise when Annie told us Arthur Miller wrote VIEW in verse at first. A two act poem. He rewrote it with someone else maybe Kazan into prose. Prose that is still his poem. And we, shaken by the story we had all seen it before we knew what had to happen even so we went for a drink to discuss how beautiful in a big way this production was still so much his poem.
